Atrium is too slow? Enable eAccelerator!
I have just installed Atrium, a highrise look alike made with Drupal on my localhost (development machine) and noticed that it was taking from 3 to 6 seconds to load each page. I tried an installation on a shared host on Dreamhost and also it was very slow, even after enabling the caching options in Drupal. Sounds familiar?
If your using XAMPP on Windows, install eAccelerator! I was going to install XCache, but after seeing on a post somewhere that eAccelerator was already bundled with XAMPP I decided to go with eAccelerator instead. All you need to do is enable it in your php.ini configuration in xampp/apache/bin/php.ini
If still that doesn't work, God help us!

I don't think it's too slow.
I don't think it's too slow. I'm slow. I don't know how to lose weight fast even though I've been trying to learn for ages.
